How to Get Those Comments on your Hubpages Hubs, Hubbers!

There's more to getting those comments than just
writing a hub. Make it about something your followers and other friends are really interested in; something that attracted them to you in the first place. Or something that is a slight break from your usual harangue, drivel, or pablum. Write up a description of something from your past, or something you would like to have in your future, or a piece about where you live and the places you frequent.
Now, do the social networking attached to this wonderful writing site, (facebook it, twitter it, shetoldme signup it, Redgage signup it, etc.) link it everywhere you can. Attach it to your blog, even. AND, most importantly, if you're not already a hubber click here to sign up!
Go to the forums, spend an hour (or more if you’re really keen on it and it helps inspire you) chatting and being as witty as you can be, thereby attracting followers from within this marvelous writing site.
If you want, invite your readers to join in some fun, vote in your poll, give you suggestions on your sequel hub, or bless them for reading and etc. You know, basically let them know that you know that they know that you know they are, you know, liked there!
Then, respond or don’t respond to their comments, and be sure to keep writing, as long as you’re still having fun, they’re still having fun, and they’ll let you know.
This is my fondest wish for you all in the coming new year, that you shall have commenters and followers up the wazzoo! and wittiness and excitement, and everything else I said last year. (because I forget, now I will have to go see if I did any of this sheet last year!)

Mega - Ohhhhhh, I have to complain about your even remotely thinking that my "usual stuff" is pablum. My stuff is GRITS. Rednecks don't go near pablum - nor do we approach oatmeal or Wheaties. GRITS. (Got it?)

Personally, I am glad to respond all comment which is coming to my hubs. This is good track for my hubs and I can hear and see what my reader say. If I have time I'll visit them back, this is like a take and give. Thanks for share about this topic. Happy New Year. Love and peace

Mega1, I thought I would stop by to say Happy New Year and I enjoyed this hub. I know I need to do better with commenting but I just can't get it all done it seems. Too many irons in the fire but that is what it takes to be successful...I think!

I am a new hubber and yes I want people to comment on my post. I am definitely going to use some of the helpful points you mentioned in here.
Though I am a starter but I am here stay. (that's one of my new year resolution argh)
i would be very interested in hearing from the pros exactly which sites they use for bookmarking their hubs.
Hi Peter- not sure what you mean bout sites for bookmarking - but there are many hubs on the subject of SEO - search engine optimization or maybe you mean using sites like SheToldMe and RedGage to provide links to more traffic? I use those two and also Facebook and Twitter, by posting links to my hubs there and I also have a (sometimes) blog on Blogger.com where I link my relevant hubs. If you want to you can send an email to all your non-hubber friends and get some views that way. You can look these things up here on hubpages and find many articles that will tell you how to get more traffic.
